Pastor Alicia Speidel
The Rev. Alicia Speidel is a 2002 graduate of the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California. Her undergraduate degree is from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, where she majored in psychology. As part of her seminary work she served for two months as chaplain at Oregon State Hospital, as youth intern at Cypress Creek Christian Church in Spring, Texas, and as seminarian intern at Chalice christian church in San Mateo, California.

Alicia grew up in the First Christian Church of Salem, Oregon. During her undergraduate years she served as youth intern at her home church during summer vacations. Observing her work with the youth, people in the church began to suggest to her that she think about the ministry as a vocation. These conversations opened new vistas for Alicia and she soon discovered she did indeed have a call to ministry. Alicia enjoys the outdoors and reading mystery novels.

She began her position with us on November 1, 2002 serving as Interim Minister, and was called to be our permanent Pastor by the congregation on May 18, 2003. She and her husband Geoff, and their daughter, Kailey, live in Medford.

Sharon Dady
Sharon has been our Minister of Music since January 1, 2005. She brings many years of musical experience and lots of enthusiasm to her position! Besides serving at MFCC, she is a music teacher at Grace Christian School, and performs with the Rogue Valley Chorale, Southern Oregon Concert Band, Rogue Valley Youth Ensemble, and gives piano lessons. She and her husband, Ralph, have two sons, both are away at college and a daughter and son-in-law who live here in the Valley (and two grandchildren). Sharon and Ralph live in Central Point.

Lionel Nightingale
Lionel is a well-known musician in the valley, and has served as our Organist for over 35 years! He has played at countless worship services (not only for us, but many other congregations), concerts, weddings, and special events in the Rogue Valley. Lionel has also taught music students on the organ and piano for many years. He and his wife have several grown children, and the couple live in Medford.

Katherine Goin
Katherine serves as church Business Administrator and has been with us since September 2005. She works in the office preparing the bulletin and newsletter, and managing the church's "business" in too many ways to count! Katherine worked in White City schools for 8 years, and is a wife and mother. She lives in Medford along with her husband and daughter, who is a Junior at Southern Oregon University. Her son is a graduate of George Fox University and will be attending Willamette University School of Law fall 2008.

Kathy Murphy

Kathy serves as part-time Director of Small Steps Daycare and Pre-School. She comes from Chico, CA and brings with her many years of Early Childhood experience. She is married and lives in Medford with her husband. She has two grown daughters, Sara and Elyse. When not working Kathy enjoys decorating her house and Disneyland. Kathy took over the position of director in January 2008.
